The Unorthodox Journey

Grew up in San Jose, a troublemaker kicked out of three high schools. Almost went to jail for grand theft. Found God instead. Started a hip-hop bible study in the hood.

At 17, became MC Hammer's right hand in Silicon Valley. Learned venture capital before he learned Hollywood. Then planted 200 churches in 40 countries as a missionary.

Came back to music. Formed Namesake. Paid Bruno Mars $1,500 to feature on "Love." Hit top ten gospel charts. Co-founded 88rising. Then Stampede Ventures. Then EST Media. Then OpenWav.

Over his career, Ma has advised on and financed ventures resulting in multi-billion-dollar capital raises. Invested in TikTok, Coinbase, Grab, Anthropic. Produced films with Anderson .Paak. Featured in Variety 500 three years straight.
